In 2016, we opened a New York store for Sonos that gave people a place to shop. More importantly, it also helped enrich their lives. The store was a success, so we did it again in London, Berlin, Shanghai and Beijing.
Each Sonos store is a mix of cultural space and product display/demo.
Artwork that is culturally relevant to Sonos provides a welcoming environment for customers and ties into cultural activations that enliven the store and pique curiosity.
- David Bowie global commemoration
- Host of Pitchfork’s radio weekender
- Premiere of Yoko Ono reissued music
- Pop-up gallery for photographer Danny Clinch
- Host of happy hour for street-art magazine, Juxtapoz
The listening rooms are core to the Sonos experience, with immersive sound and a privileged relationship to the products.
Each sound-proofed room enables the customer to experience different speakers and configurations in an ideal listening environment.
The interior design of each room is created in collaboration with a different artist/designer.
A personalized, whole-home audio experience was produced using customer feedback, to create an innovative design approach focused on the user’s needs.
Customers control Sonos in each listening room as they would in their homes, while also engaging unique entertainment content and product education.
